What is it?

The Booster Club is a mixture of parents, relatives, alumni and friends bonded by a common desire to support the student athletes of Villa Rica High School .

How is it done?

The major method of support is through funding. Money in any educational area is at a premium, and Villa Rica High School is no exception. The Booster Club, through such projects as an annual auction, concessions, merchandise sales, fruit sales, barbeques, club dues and a wide assortment of other activities, attempts to supplement the allotted funds received from the school district.

What has been done in the past?

Each year, the Booster Club, the Athletic Director and the school administration establish a budget and decide what expenses will be provided by the Booster Club. Therefore, the items provided by the Booster Club may change from year to year. Through the efforts of the Booster Club, the following and more have been provided in full or in part for the Villa Rica High School athletes and students.

How official is the club?

The Villa Rica High School Athletic Booster Club is governed by a set of by-laws. Regularly scheduled meetings allow for treasury reports as well as members to voice opinions, ideas and complaints. All members have a vote in the affairs as well as a voice as to who is elected to the Board of Directors. Any member has the opportunity ( if desired ) to be elected and serve as a member of the board in the capacity of president, vice-president, secretary or treasurer. The Booster Club is well recognized by the school administration and works hand-in-hand with them throughout the school year.

Who does the Booster Club serve?

Villa Rica High School has approximately 220-student athletes who benefit from the support of the Booster Club. Each sport receives funds based on a budget established by the individual sport’s head coach and approved by the Athletic Director and school administration.
